This grant is available to students presenting research at the CSEB student conference AND main conference to offset the cost of, and facilitate travel to these conferences. Awards will be determined based on financial need.
Eligibility:
- Students must be registered as a full-time MSc or PhD student
- Financial need must be demonstrated
- Students must have an abstract accepted for presentation (podium or poster) at both the student and main conferences.
Process:
- All applications and other documents must be received by April 1st, 2009.

- The applications will be reviewed by the conference executive committee.
- Upon approval of the travel grant, a cheque will be given to the student on May 24th, 2009 at the student conference.
- Applicants will be informed of the funding decision no later than April 14th, 2009.
Application: CSEB/SCEB Conference Travel Grant Application
- There is no form to be filled. Completed application should include the following:
- Student name, school, programme, year and level of study (for example 2nd year MSc), mailing address, phone number, and email address.
- A one page letter outlining why you require these funds and how the travel experience will benefit you.
- A letter of support from the applicant’s supervisor outlining the specific contribution(s) of the student to the study and/or contribution(s) of the student to area of research.
- A copy of your abstract submitted to the student and main conference.

LA PÉRIODE DE SOUMISSION DES DEMANDES EST MAINTENANT TERMINÉE.
Cette subvention est accordée aux étudiants qui présentent leurs travaux à la conférence générale de la SCEB ainsi qu’à la conférence étudiante. Cette subvention permet de défrayer les coûts de participation associés à ces deux conférences. Les prix seront attribués sur la base du besoin financier démontré.
L’éligibilité est basée sur les critères suivants:
- Être étudiant à temps-plein à la M.Sc. ou au doctorat
- Démontrer un besoin financier
- Le résumé de l’étudiant doit être choisi pour une présentation (soit orale ou d’affiche) aux deux conférences, soit la conférence étudiante ainsi que principale
Processus:
- La demande de subvention ainsi que tout autre document doit être reçus au plus tard le 1er avril 2009
- Veuillez l’adresser à Thy Dinh (information contact ci-dessous)
- La demande sera révisée par le comité exécutif de la conférence
- Un chèque sera remis à l’étudiant le 24 mai 2009 lors de la conférence étudiante, suite à l’approbation de la demande
- Les requérants seront informés de la décision finale au plus tard le 14 avril 2009
Demande: Demande de subvention de voyage SCEB/CSEB
- Il n’y a aucun document officiel à remplir. Les demandes complètes devraient inclure les éléments suivants :
- Nom, établissement d’études, année, programme et niveau d’étude (par exemple 2e année M.Sc.), adresse postale, numéro de téléphone et adresse électronique
- Une lettre d’une page spécifiant les raisons pour lesquelles cette subvention et l’expérience de voyage vous seront bénéfiques
- Une lettre d’appui de votre superviseur indiquant votre (vos) contribution(s) dans votre domaine de recherche
- Une copie du résumé de votre présentation que vous avez soumis à la conférence étudiante ainsi qu’à la conférence principale
